Aglaia "Gloria" Efstathiadis

Aglaia Efstathiadis “Gloria” Passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2015.  She was a woman of unquestionable generosity and kindness.  She came to this country in her mid thirties and worked hard to establish her own business. She will be forever know as holding court at her dress makers shop with all her neighborhood friends. For the last 20 years she and her husband worked together at their shop on 10th St. 

She was survived by her beloved husband Athanasios “Tom” for only twenty four hours. Daughter Evagelia (Stefanos) andPete (Amanda).  Grandson: Yiannis . Siblings: Andonia, Pandelis, and Eleni. Perdeceased by brother Eftihios. Also survived by nieces Penny and Kathy here in Philadelphia and many more nieces and nephews in Greece, Australia, and the rest of the world.  

Her and her husband’s funeral will be 11am Friday at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George 256 S. 8th St. Philadelphia. Viewing one hour prior to service in the church.  Interment, Fernwood Cemetery. I lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
