Born March 27, 1953 in Philadelphia, Diane was the beloved daughter of Cleo Alexander Longacre and the late Gregory P. Alexander of Bryn Mawr, PA. The cherished sister of Elaine H. Alexander of Round Lake, IL, she was the beloved cousin to the Roebas family, the Coste family, and the Alexandrakos family of Philadelphia and New York City. A proud graduate of Elizabethtown College, she was a dear friend to many classmates, and special friends. Diane, or Dandy, as she was known to family and close friends, worked as a gardener and landscaper. Dandy had a lifelong love of the seashore. Nothing made her happier than to ride the waves and walk the boards in Ocean City, NJ. Dandy also loved flowers, cats, the summer, healthy eating, and watching cooking shows. She volunteered her time to tend the landscaping at St. Luke Church.

Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 30, 2016, immediately preceding funeral services at 11:00 am at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Road, Broomall, PA 19008 Burial will follow at Lawnview Memorial Park, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
