Gloria Tsokas (nee Vreto) of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was 85 years old.  Gloria was born April, 23, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the oldest child of the late Enthemi and Dhoksia Vreto.  She is the sister of Connie Vreto, the late Gregory Vreto (Hope), Marie Antony (Al), and the late Peter Vreto.  Gloria is the beloved wife of Spyros for 65 years and mother of five loving daughters, Mary Mulcahy (Wayne), Athena Chapel (Randy), Gloria Johnson (Bill), Lorraine Tsokas, and Kathy Tsokas-Moore (Kevin).  She is the adored grandmother of Andrew Mulcahy (Erica), Laura Kemmerer (Michael), Matthew Mulcahy, Kyle (Stephanie) and Michael Chapel, Billy and Becky Johnson, and Sarah Moore.  Gloria is the loving great grandmother of Lucas, Alex and Amelia Kemmerer, Nora Mulcahy and was looking forward to the birth of another Mulcahy great granddaughter in February.

Gloria was born, raised and educated in Philadelphia.  She met Spyros at a dance in center city Philadelphia, and they never stopped dancing. They fell in love and were married in 1953. She built a family full of love and care and was a giving and understanding friend who touched many lives. Gloria was always thinking of others and inspiring all to be their best.

Gloria was a gifted artist who never stopped her love of painting and shared her creations with family and friends at home and in Greece. Gloria enjoyed visiting Greece each year and spending time in the house in Sitaria where Spyros was born and raised. In addition she was an excellent cook, an avid reader, a green thumb gardener, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved her family pets. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, a Girl Scout leader, and active in the local school district when her children were growing up.
