Haralambos (Bobby) Hionis, of Wilimington, Delaware passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and godfather. Bobby was born on September 26, 1934 in Kefalonia, Greece.
Bobby came to America from an earthquake stricken Kefalonia in 1955 to aide his family in rebuilding. Upon arriving, he began working as a bridge painter which led him to founding his greatest legacy, Claymont Steak Shop, with his cousin Spiro Demetratos. Bobby was well known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in anyway needed.
He is survived by his wife Sophia Hionis, daughter Angie Hionis-Bell (John Bell) and stepchildren Maria D. Mozol and Michael Diamtopoulos. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Natasha Mozol, Robert Bell, and Alex Mozol. Also survived by his sibilings: Alex (Dora), Jerry (Effie), Danny (Rose), Kosta (Laura), Athena and Eleni.
Family and friends may view at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Media, PA, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063. Funeral will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the church.
Interment Long Croft Cemetery, 1000 W Ridge Road, Marcus Hook, PA 19061.
