She graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1943. In the early 1970’s she was an active member of the Mayfield Guild of Rosemont College, an organization of mothers of Rosemont students. Her devotion to the Greek Orthodox community was demonstrated in many ways over a span of more than 60 years.  She was a member and President of the Ladies Philoptochos at the local level and held the title of Second Vice President at the national level, Chairperson of the Sisterhood Program for St. Basil Academy, and awarded the Medal of St. Paul by Archbishop Iakovos. She took pleasure in doing for others.

Devoted wife of the late Archon Charles Efstratios  Sosangelis. Survived by daughters Ellen Sosangelis and Denise S. Gilmar, son Sotir Charles (Michele), and granddaughter Kayla Elise Gilmar. She was the loving Aunt of many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by brothers Lazarus Nicholas (Helen) Shaiko, Jr., Thomas (Ann), Michael, and Spiro, and by sisters Kay (Kimon) Haldas, Anna (Leon) Carafides, Dorothy, Mary and Anastasia Shaiko.
