Vahe Papken "Shant" Kehyayan

Vahe Papken Kehyayan  "Shant"  Passed away October 31, 2016.  He is the beloved husband of Mary Vartan Igidbashian Kehyayan. Uncle of Vartan (Lisa) Igidbashian and Maggie N.I. (Tim) Berger and great uncle to many.  Shant was born in Cairo Egypt in 1924.  As a young man there, he worked in the office of one of the military bases of the British Military.  And Later, in the office of on of the largest tobacco company's in Egypt.  After coming got America, he attended and graduated from St. Josephs University with a degree in Business Accounting.  He ended up becoming the comptroller of five different Nursing Homes in the Philadelphia/ New Jersey area.  Shant was also involved in the Tekeyan as well as the Arabkir Cultural Groups.

His funeral will be 11:30am Monday, November 7th, at St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church.  630 Clothier Rd. Wynnewood, Pa 19096.  Viewing, one hour prior to service in Church.  Interment; Arlington Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to the church.
