Daphne Karas Obituary

Daphne Karas 1926-2019

Daphne was   born and lived in West Philadelphia with her beloved brother Panos and her parents Irene and Anthony. She was a resident of Drexel Hill, PA for 53 years and had a long career in the mortgage department of First Pennsylvania Bank. Daphne was a Sunday school teacher at Saint George’s Greek Orthodox Church, and later a volunteer with the Saint Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall. She traveled widely and enjoyed the arts and culinary pleasures that the world had to offer.

Daphne was known for her vibrant personality, her sense of style, her humorous storytelling and her love of friends and family. She is survived by her niece Irene Karas and her nephew Anthony Karas , his wife Stacie and their sons Zayn and Kedian.  In addition, Daphne has several close cousins, many nieces and nephews, their children and her close friends.
