Welcome to the memorial page for

Deborah S. Christian

October 23, 2017

Debbie Christian died peacefully in her sleep on October 23,2017 at her home in Berwyn, PA. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 25,1950 to Dr. Harry and Barbara Daniels, both deceased. She graduated from Lower Merion High School and from the Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing, later serving as a highly regarded ER and surgical nurse at both Children’s Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she later rose to the position of Director of Purchasing.
She loved baseball and her Phillies and saw almost every game on TV or at Citizens Bank Park, where she had season tickets along the 3rd baseline during the glory (and not so glorious) years. She enjoyed travelling, particularly throughout the Caribbean Islands, and was an avid gardener and voracious button collector. Home improvement was among her life's passions and she used her superb taste and exceptional skill to create a wonderful home for her family. Debbie was a sweet, caring, loving wife and mother who could brighten anyone’s day with her limitless optimism. Her grace and courage in battling a succession of illnesses in her final years was truly inspirational.
She is survived by Ron, her husband of 45 years, and sons Brian and Eric. She is also survived by brothers Michael Daniels (his wife Betsy, daughters Holly and Stephanie), Christopher  Daniels (his wife Patty, sons Christopher Jr and Matthew and daughter Alicia) and sisters Carolyn O'Brien (her husband Kevin, daughters Devon and Sara and son Kevin) and Judy Flanagan (her husband Chris, sons Pearce and Colin) as well as by dear friends Katie Hughes and Patricia Callaghan.
Private services are being held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation
