James Collias Obituary

Jim T. Collias. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to Mary Collias (wife), Diana (John Palumbo) and Art Collias (Christina)  (children), Angela, Christina, Michelle, Michael and Dimitri (grandchildren), Jesse, Niko and Vincent (great grandchildren).

Jim was born and raised in West Philadelphia and spent his adult years with his wife of 60 years in Drexel Hill. Jim served our country proudly during the Korean War. He spent his working years in the restaurant industry at various establishments in the suburban and Philadelphia area, including the Bellevue Stratford Hotel.  Jim was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed spending family time rooting for all four Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies. His greatest love was spending time with his family.  Jim will be sorely missed for his good humor and quick wit.

Friends and family are invited to his viewing Monday from 10 am to 11 am at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd, Broomall, Pa 19008.  His funeral service will take place at 11 am in the church.  The interment will be at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either of the following churches would be an honor he would be proud of: Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 900 S. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403 or Saint Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd., Broomall, PA 19008.
