James Karivalis

James John Karivalis, age 87, of Ocean City, NJ passed away the night of July 31, 2019. He was born January 7, 1932 in Chios, Greece, the son of Marika Lefkakis and Gus. After moving to America, he married Carol Skidmore. His enjoyment arose from his big, loving family and being in the kitchen. Cooking and cars were his passions. James was preceded in death by his son William(Julie) in 2015. He is survived by his dear wife Carol, his brother George(Cleo) and sister Effie Tsiclas(George), his loving children Marika(William) and Nicholas(Shirley), his adoring grandchildren William(Elizabeth), Michael(Rebecca), Dennis, James, David, Alexander, Kelly(Anson), Dylan, Thomas, and great-grandchildren William, Eloise, Vivian and Sinjin. Friends and family are welcome to attend his viewing from 10-11am Wednesday, August 7, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. His funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment to follow in Arlington Cemetery.
