Martie was my friend for over 45 years, and godmother to my late daughter. Although most of those years we were separated by many miles , we stayed in touch. She suffered many setbacks but never despaired or complained, and rather than isolating herself as some might do, she always stayed active with friends and family. I've learned a great deal from her beautiful spirit. I miss her already.

Dear Linda and David, We were so saddened to hear about your Mother's death. We have been friends with your Mom and Dad since 1958 when Fred and your Dad were stationed at Fort Sam Houston together. Fred and I were married at the base chapel there and your dear mother had a small wedding reception for us at their apartment in San Antonio. We visited throughout the years when Fred and your Dad got out of the army. we came to your home in Drexel Hills, and they visited us in New Cumberland. Sometimes we would meet "halfway between" at a restaurant. We visited your Mother at the nursing home and she was delightful. We spoke on the telephone frequently. We had planned a Sunday afternoon visit in the near future. She told us to let her know the exact date so you two could be there. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and I am so sorry. May God comfort you at this difficult time of sorrow, and may happy memories of your Mother keep her ever alive in your hearts. Fred and Dottie Lebo

Aunt Martie was a great woman and will be missed dearly. I loved all the conversations we had and she always looked forward to me sending fudge during the holidays, I am one that perfected my mom's fudge that everyone loved. I know she is up in heaven with my mom and many other family members looking down on all of us. If you all ever need anything at all, even if it is just to talk, I am only a phone call away. I love you guys and you are in my prayers daily.

Linda and Dave, I am so sorry on the passing of your beloved Mom, she must have been an awesome lady, she had 2 wonderful kids I wish I was closer to you, would have loved to be there! She is now in paradise with our Lord, she is at peace, Bless you both and miss you both!

Wanted to let you guys know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I know this is very hard on yall its a pain that will always be there. Aunt Martie got to live a long life and now she's reunited with everybody that we've already lost. I love you guys. Our family is strong just try to keep pushing forward. Take it a day at a time. She is still with you she just your guardian angel now. I love yall and wish I could be there. Now a little message for my Aunt Martie....tell my momma and mommom I love and miss them everyday please.

I had the pleasure of meeting Martha. I drove one of her grandchildren, my friend, Bradley Patch, out to visit her . I found her to be warm, loving , smart, and a sense of humor that would make anyone smile and laugh. I know she will be surely missed, and will be with her loved ones in spirit. Sorry for your loss.
