Nicholas Papatsiaras

Nicholas Papatsiaras, 87, passed away peacefully in the early morning on May 16, 2019. He was born on June 10, 1931 in Velvendo, Kozani, Greece.

He immigrated to the United States and lived in Upper Darby, where he worked as a painter. He was a family man he loved having his children and grandchildren around him, they were his bride and joy. He worked hard to provide for his family and wanted them to be Happy and Healthy. He was a very proud and loving man who loved traveling back to Velvendo, Kozani, as often as possible.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him.

He is survived by his Children: Demetrios (Kathy), Thomas (Maria). Grandchildren: Christina, Nicholas, Stylianos, Chrysovalantie and Athina.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday May 22, 2019 starting with a viewing at 10:00am till 11:00am immediately following funeral service at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Lane, Upper Darby PA, 19082. Interment will follow the service at Fernwood Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
