Steven G. Chrissos

Steven George Chrissos, beloved Husband, Father and Papou. Steven George Chrissos 93 of Glen Mills PA passed away Thursday June 13, 2019. He was preceded in death by his beloved, beautiful wife of 59 years Mary. He is survived by daughter Elaine (Karen Runkle) of Lancaster, PA, son George of Satellite Beach FL, daughter Maria (Gary Plotts) of Glenn Mills, PA, his grandchildren Andrew Plotts (Rebecca) of Clyde NC and Alexis (Kyle Taggart) of Glen Mills, PA and great granddaughters Abigail Taggart of Glen Mills, PA and Mattison Plotts of Clyde NC.
Steve served 2 years in the United States Army during World War II. In his early years, he worked in Philadelphia as a mechanical drafter where he did the structural design for several buildings in the area. Years later he took his love for food and cooking and opened the Carriage House Delicatessen in Upper Darby with his 2 cousins Leon Leonidas and Panos Karas. He and Mary loved to host family gatherings in the home for any celebration. In his spare time, he was a talented woodworker building various pieces of furniture for his home office and anything else he could create out of wood. He was always finding interesting gadgets to tinker with. One of Steve’s greatest pleasures later in life was spoiling his grandchildren with sleepovers, movies and breakfasts out. He will be sadly missed by his adoring and loving family.
