Alice Aznavourian

AZNAVOURIAN, Alice, (Antreasian), age 91, formerly of West Chester, passed away Monday, September 4th, 2023. Alice was born and raised in New York City.  She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and Hunter College in New York City, where she excelled in fashion illustration. She worked as a Fashion and Layout Artist for buying offices in the New York fashion industry. She was also a freelance artist for Bloomingdale’s and G. Fox & Company in Hartford CT. She met her husband, Garo Aznavourian, in Asbury Park NJ and they were married in Providence RI in 1960. They lived in Hartford for many years before moving to Atlanta GA where Garo passed away. Later in life, she lived in Boston before settling in the greater Philadelphia area. She was a member of the Atlanta Art Association, the Norristown Art League and the Perkiomen Art Association, where she won numerous awards. While living in Hershey’s Mill, she was a member of the Art Club where she shared her talent with the other artists there.

Preceded in death by her husband, Garo, and her sister, Yerchanig “Jennie” Loosararian. she is survived by her son: Mark and his wife Emily; daughter Karen Cannuscio and her husband Robert; daughter Kristine Danelz and her husband David; her seven beloved grandchildren: Garo Cannuscio, Aram Cannuscio, Stepan Cannuscio, Ani Danelz, Garrett Danelz, Mark Danelz and Valen Aznavourian, along with loving nephews Larry, Greg and Alan and numerous cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday September 16, 2023 from 10:30-11am at St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 630 Clothier Rd. Wynnewood, PA 19096. Her funeral service will begin promptly at 11am. Interment will take place immediately after the service in Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026.  The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Arbor Terrace in Exton PA and Willow Tree Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church.
