Ani Marie Diakatos passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home in Wallingford, PA, on April 22, 2026. Born on March 4, 1964, in Lansdowne, PA, she was a beloved wife, mother, sister, God-mother, Aunt and friend.
As the firstborn of Noel Zeibari, Ani held the proud distinction of being the first in her family born in the United States, following her parents' immigration from Beirut, Lebanon. Ani's education began at the Armenian Sisters Academy in Radnor. She later transitioned to the Upper Darby School District, where she distinguished herself as an honors student.
Ani went on to earn her BBA in Accounting and Risk Management from Temple University. Ever devoted to her family, she beautifully balanced her rigorous studies with helping to care for her two younger brothers, often cooking family dinners and keeping the household running smoothly.
Ani’s intellect and artistic spirit shone brilliantly in everything she pursued. She possessed a natural talent for sketching, particularly horses, which became a signature of her creativity. She developed a talent for woodworking and finishing, lovingly restoring and breathing new life into furniture and antique market finds that beautifully adorn her home today. Ani also found peace and joy outdoors as an avid gardener, generously sharing her bountiful harvests with family and friends.
Ani’s love for the shore was born from annual family vacations spent in Wildwood, NJ. This lifelong passion was instilled by her father, Noel, who cherished having the family together "down the shore".
Professionally, Ani enjoyed a fulfilling four-decade career in Risk Management. A testament to her dedication and expertise, she earned her CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), AINS (Associate in General Insurance), and AU (Associate in Underwriting) certifications from the Insurance Institute of America.
Above all, Ani was profoundly devoted to her family, her faith, and her vibrant Greek and Armenian communities.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Diakatos; her beloved children, Eleni and Tony Diakatos; and her two brothers, Greg Zeibari (Arlet) and Ara Zeibarian. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished Godchildren Lilia and Armand Zeibari along with her aunts, uncle, and cousins.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing form 10am to 12 noon, Wednesday, April 29th, at St. Luke's Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N Malin Road, Broomall, PA 19008. Her funeral service will take place at 12 noon in the church. Her interment will follow at St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
