We are deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of Tony Masino, who passed away on Saturday, August 3rd 2024 at the age of 78. Survived by his beloved wife Paulette; brothers Carmen (Theresa), Nick (Nancy), and John; daughters Marla (Jim) and Melanie (Douglass); grandchildren Samantha, Benjamin and Sophia; Paulette’s son Robert; grandchildren Jordan, Mia, Genevieve, Vanessa, Ethan; and great grandchildren, Ma’kai and Kaiah.
Tony was a man of many talents and a true do it your self-er. Being in the Wall Paper union for years he accomplished many amazing feats including much of the work done in the Phillies stadium in his hometown of South Philly. He also graduated Philadelphia Community college where he got a degree in art. Tony was naturally an artist. Anyone that knew him knew his love for painting and crafting. From portraits to landscapes and everything in between, he always had a project that he was working on. With his great devotion to nature and wildlife along with Paulette, Tony sculpted many birdhouses with his love of tools and woodworking. Another one of Tony’s favorite interests and hobbies were trains. He knew many models of different trains and always built life like miniature Christmas villiages with the classic locomotive trains.
He and his wife enjoyed the Ballet, the theater, museums, and the orchestra. They loved traveling internationally, and nationally, especially in the Southwest, where they explored many of the National Parks. Tony was a renaissance man, an amazing cook, who was given the title of Chef Tony, by many. Most of the ingredients that he used, came from his own garden.
Tony lived a great life doing all of the things he loved, and was surrounded by people he loved and cherished him.
