Barbara Gangi (née Repantis) our beloved “Yiayia” died peacefully at home on December 21, 2021 at the age of 85.
Barbara was born and raised in Philadelphia. Second daughter of Steven and Ruth Repantis.
She graduated from Kensington High School with the title “Miss Athletic” and enjoyed playing every sport in school.
Shortly after Graduation she met her husband of 37 years, Philip Gangi in Wildwood NJ, they were seldom seen without each other.
Barbara and Philip were blessed with four Children; Gregory, wife Wendy; Stephanie Stroman, husband Steve; Dimitria Liddy; and preceded in death by Aristedes.
She had 11 grandchildren; Nykie, husband Matthew; Steven, wife Amy; Alexander, wife Alexandra; Philip wife, Felicia; Angelina; Samuel; Anthony; Nicholas; Michael; Elizabeth; and Nathaniel.
She also, had 9 great grandchildren; Philip, Jake, Grace, Riley, Leah, Sophia, Roman and (2) more in the oven.
Barbara was a devoted babysitter to all her grandchildren. As a Champion herself, her passion for tennis never wavered, known to stay awake all night to watch her favorite Roger Federer defeat his opponents.
She will be missed and we will forever carry her and the memories of her in our lives and hearts.
Friends and family are welcome to her Funeral Service at 12 noon on Monday December 27 at St. Philip Orthodox Church, 1970 Clearview Rd. Souderton, Pa 18964. Her interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
