Chrisanthi Katsanos (Kerekos) was born in Philadelphia to Nicholas & Katherine Kerekos (Paradissis) and graduated from Frankford High. She worked for the railroad before marrying Christy Katsanos in November 1959. She was a stay at home mom until returning to work in her 30s, working retail at Charles Shop then at Mellon Bank Asset Department before retiring in 2003. That didn’t stop her. She went back to work part time until present as a front desk receptionist at Highland Park Podiatry. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church, the Daughter’s of Penelope, and the Philoptochos Society where she was honored for 59 years of service. She also volunteered her time both baking and working the Greek Affair. She enjoyed spending time in Brigantine, NJ and loved to play the slots at the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Christy, survived by her children: Katina Lulias (John), Van Katsanos (Janine), Nicole Riordan (Jimmy), grandchildren: Gabrielle Gormley (Mike) Alexandra & Juliette Lulias, Christian, Andreas, & Kameron Katsanos, Avery & Evan Riordan, and great grandson, Hunter Gormley
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 10am to 12pm, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd, Broomall, Pa 19008. Her funeral service will take place at 12 noon in the church. Her interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in her name may be made to the church.
