Christine Efstration Obituary

Christine Elaine Efstration

October 19, 1953 – January 22, 2026

Christine E Efstration, age 72, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, with her loving husband Paul by her side, leaving behind a legacy of strength and spirited humor.

Christine was a woman of deep warmth, resilience, and generosity, whose life was defined by love—for her family, her friends, her heritage, and every living creature that crossed

    her path.

Raised in Havertown and Broomall, Pennsylvania, Christine was the daughter of the late George and Louise Nichols. She grew up in a household alongside her two siblings, a foundation that fostered her lifelong devotion to family.

Christine embraced life with energy, determination, and a wonderfully unique perspective. A powerhouse of fitness, she spent decades weight-training and teaching spinning classes. Even as physical challenges arose in later years, her presence remained larger-than-life—her strength was measured by the wit, laughter, and perseverance with which she met each day.

Her heart for animals was boundless. Whether she was pet-sitting, fostering kittens, or caring for her own beloved pets, Christine’s home was a sanctuary for those she loved. To her, animals were family, and her fierce loyalty to them was a true reflection of her character.

Christine took great pride in her Greek heritage. While her involvement with St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall was most central to her earlier years—where she taught Sunday School and volunteered for the annual "Greek Affair"—that connection to her roots remained a meaningful part of her identity. She found joy in the music and dance of her culture, and most especially in the memories of her honeymoon in Athens and Crete, a journey that spoke deeply to her soul.

Her travels also took her to the Smoky Mountains and Myrtle Beach, and she cherished time spent at the jersey shore building memories with family and friends.

Christine shared 25 years of marriage with her husband, Paul Efstration—a partnership rooted in devotion and shared adventure. In addition to Paul, she is survived by her sister, Stephanie Hummel (Steve),her brother, Jim Nichols and cousins Kathryn Bradford (Howard) and Sierra Murphy (Greg).

She will be remembered as a nurturing and joyful spirit who gave freely of herself. Her life leaves behind a legacy of compassion and resilience that will continue to live on in the stories and laughter of all who knew her.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 11am to 12 noon on Friday, January 30, 2026, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd. Broomall, 19008.  Her funeral service will take place at 12 noon in the church.  Her interment will follow at Arlington cemetery.
