Christos Pappas

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband. Chris Pappas, aged 86, passed away peacefully on April 6th, surrounded by his family.

Chris was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Ioanna of 31 years, and a wonderful father to his children Constantina, Chris, Eric, Basil, and Stephan. He will be remembered for his kindness, his warm smile, and his unwavering love for his family.

Born in Nemouta, Chris moved to the US in the early 1950s to follow the American Dream. He spent his life dedicated to his family and his work. He was a hardworking and respected member of his community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In his free time, Chris enjoyed gardening, watching old movies, family gatherings, and spending time with the family dog, Irakli. He loved to tell stories about the village, Latzoi, what life was like after moving to America, and would share fond memories spent with family and friends. 

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Chris will forever be remembered as a kind and caring soul who worked hard endlessly.

Viewing and service will be held to celebrate the life of Chris at St. Demetrios in Upper Darby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church in memory of Chris.
