Gus John Felahi passed away on December 8, 2021. He was a dedicated educator and counselor in the New York state and Philadelphia school systems. He was a proud Veteran and member of the Eleftheria VFW post 6633. As a devoted Orthodox Christian, he served on the board of an Orthodox church in Poughkeepsie, New York and could always be found in church on Sunday. He supported his Greek heritage as a member of the Fraternal Order of A.H.E.P.A. and the St. Luke’s Men’s Club. He loved playing chess and passed that love on to his nieces and nephews. He was an avid painter with many of his works passed around the family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Erefely. His son’s Jeffrey and Andrew. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family are welcome to his viewing from 11am to noon on Thursday, 12-16-2021, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church 35 N. Malin Rd, Broomall, Pa 19008. His funeral service will be 12 noon in the church. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
