Constantine Politis Obituary

Constantine V. Politis

Entered the world: October 6,1931

Entered eternal life: April 2, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Constantine V. Politis, a man who embodied the American dream with resilience, integrity, and unwavering faith.

Born in Greece in 1931, Constantine lived through the hardships of Turkish and German occupation before proudly serving in the Greek Royal Navy. Seeking a better future, he immigrated to the United States, where he became a naturalized citizen, taught himself English, and put himself through college at Temple University. It was here he met and married the first love of his life, Peaches, and together they built a beautiful family.

A true self-made man, Constantine started his own business and utilized an innovative electrostatic refinishing process for office furniture, becoming a leader in his field. Despite his success, he never wavered from his cultural heritage and deep-rooted faith.

His devotion to the Greek Orthodox Church was recognized when His Eminence Archbishop Iakovos appointed him as an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate—a great honor bestowed upon distinguished laypersons for their exceptional service to the Church. As an Archon, Constantine dedicated himself to defending religious freedom and preserving the Orthodox faith and tradition.

Blessed beyond measure, Constantine was fortunate to find not just one but two great loves in his life. After loss and change, his heart opened again, and Kate ‘Ketoula' became part of his life, bringing her kindness, care, and unwavering devotion.

Above all, Constantine’s greatest joy was his and Kate’s blended families. He was the proud father of three children Pagona, Xenia (Chris), and Mariellena, and he was lovingly known as Papou, to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life was filled with love, laughter, and the traditions that bind our generations together.

Constantine’s life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and generosity—a visionary whose kindness and dedication left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Constantine always said, ”We’re not lucky—we’re blessed." In turn, he lived his life blessing others. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched all who knew him, leaving a legacy of love and service.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Constantine’s viewing from 10 am to 11 am, Wednesday, April 9th, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 North Malin Road, Broomall, PA 19008. His funeral will begin promptly at 11 am in the church. His interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
