Debra Ann (Eynon) Exarchos of Hartsville, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday May 22, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Evangelos Exarchos with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
She was born in Roxborough to Ruthann Eynon and her late father Thomas R. Eynon, the oldest daughter of five. She grew up in Warminster graduating from William Tennent High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Temple University and her MBA from Saint Joseph’s University. Learning and reading were some of her many passions in life.
After twenty years, Debra retired from her career at Prudential, always remembering her many colleagues fondly. She also volunteered her time and creativity throughout her whole life, with a special dedication and passion for the Ladies Philoptochos Group at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Debra served as president for several years and was honored with a seat on the New Jersey Metropolis Philoptochos Board.
Debra loved spending her time with her four beautiful grandchildren as their “Gigi” and adored her great niece and nephews. She relished any opportunity to have large gatherings at home for family and friends. Her celebrations of Orthodox Easter were legendary. She was giving, passionate, imaginative, witty, and loving. She will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her husband Evangelos Exarchos, two children Christina Exarchos (Byron Warner) and Yannis Exarchos, her four grandchildren, Jacob and Savannah Exarchos and Evangelia and Isadora Warner, her mother RuthAnn Eynon and her four sisters Diane Eynon (Lorretto Higgins), Jennifer Sabater, Martha Hottenstein (Eric Moser) and Meg Eynon (Tudor Eynon).
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing at 10am followed by the service at 11am on Thursday May 27th, 2021 at The Annunciation/Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, 7921 Old York Road Elkins Park, PA 19027. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debra’s memory may be sent to the Ladies Philoptochos Society, 7921 Old York Road Elkins Park, PA 19027.
