Even though there is deep sorrow in our hearts at the loss of the presence of our Precious Diana here, we are rejoicing that she is in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with Whom she is walking hand in hand, free of pain and singing joyfully. She entered His gates with thanksgiving and into His Presence where there is Fulness of Joy early in the morning on Friday April 24, 2026.
Born October 11, 1982, Diana was an extremely gifted and talented woman blessed with ingenuity, creativity and a fierce determination and a strong will to accomplish whatever she set her mind to. When given a basic understanding of how to do something, Diana would tackle it to become proficient in that thing to the fullest extent. She was especially gifted with her hands and enjoyed every kind of “hand work” from a very young age. Even under the age of five, she was crafting 3-D objects and designs out of paper such as a merry-go-round, a violin, a Ferris wheel, and even “Hamburger A and Hamburger B” from the Wendy’s commercial on TV. She went on to lacing designs on the back of her parent’s dining room chairs, crafting miniature pieces of jewelry and holiday table designs like a miniature cornucopia out of Sculpey. Then it was on to Sign Language. She quickly mastered the language and moved on to teach the class at her church and then serve as an interpreter for church services in future years and ministries. She learned the basics of crochet and cross-stitch and moved on to create beautiful pieces with minute details…even correcting errors in someone else’s pattern or work.
The most notable handwork became her future occupation. Learning the basics of sewing while making a skirt with her grandmother at the age of ten, Diana went on to become an extremely accomplished seamstress. She owned and operated DEW SEW FINE, her window treatment and reupholstery business, creating her own designs and patterns, and culminating in her receiving the VISION Window Fashion Magazine Top 20 Under 40 Award in her industry in 2021.
Diana met the “Love of her Life” Jeffrey Wilson, in September of 2018 while attending a singles swing dance activity with her church. They danced into each other’s hearts becoming the perfect dance and life partners for each other and were married in November 2019…Thankfully just before Covid shut the whole world down and weddings were very difficult to hold! God knew how much they needed each other!!
In December of 2020, their PRECIOUS daughter Cordelia was born…the “apple of their eyes”. Cordelia and Jeffrey were the culmination of the desires of Diana’s heart. Diana’s favorite passage of Scripture was Psalm 37:4,5. “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” It seemed that all was perfect in her / their world.
Unfortunately, though it seemed all was perfect in their world, Diana met the greatest challenge of her life late in 2022. Though the disease and the enemy of our souls racked her body with attack after attack, Diana rose to every challenge with fierce determination and a strong will to conquer and be there for her Precious Jeff and Cordelia…all the while singing of “The Goodness of God”. Diana had an unconquerable faith, a determination to keep Jesus as the focus of her heart and life, and to be everything she could possibly be and do for her precious family. She enjoyed and treasured every precious moment she had with them. Throughout the course of her very long and difficult illness, Diana remained a Champion of the Faith and an Ambassador for Jesus openly sharing her faith and confidence in Him! She trusted Him (and Him only) to be her only means of salvation and was confident of His Presence with her and that He was carrying her across the finish line. Certainly, on Friday morning she heard, “Well done, Thou good and faithful servant”, as she looked face to face into the eyes of her blessed Savior!
Diana would hope that all who know her would trust Jesus for their own salvation so that one day she would see them again in victory and joy in the Presence of Jesus.
Diana is survived by her beloved husband Jeffrey, her precious daughter Cordelia, her parents Robert and Linda Wheeler, her brothers Rob III (Dominique) and Ryan (Heather), her Great Aunt Elizabeth Foyle, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and many dear and precious friends and church family who have been an incredible help and support to her especially in the difficult years of this journey.
