Beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend, Dimitri, 50, was taken far too soon, after a hard fight with a terrible illness. He leaves behind his heartbroken and devastated family: wife and best friend Lynn (née Rumsey), cherished daughters Isabelle and Petra, parents Pagona and Petros Lambrou, sisters Irene Lambrou (Troy) and Demetra Kytzidis (Christos).
Dimitri will be remembered by all who knew him for his endless generosity, empathy and kindness, his enthusiastic laugh and mischievous sense of humor. He was devoted to his family and his work at Lambrou Motors, where everyone on the Avenue knew he was the go-to guy they could trust. He was fluent in Greek. He loved fishing with his dad, hanging out on the beach with his kids, throwing great parties with Lynn, hugging his dog, mowing his lawn in perfect rows, talking about cars, driving cars, buying and selling cars, keeping his stuff organized, and creating the annual Christmas display “jawns” that were famous on Taylor Road and beyond. He was there to rescue you in the middle of the night with jumper cables or a can of gas or the tow truck.
Dimitri was one of a kind, a bright light, and the world will not be the same without him.
Friends and family are welcome to attend his viewing On Monday for 10am to 11:30am at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 7921 Old York Rd. Elkins Park, PA 19027. His funeral service will follow at 11:30am. His interment will be private.
