Dionysios Danalis, 92 years of age passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 22, 2022.
He was born on January 5, 1930 to Gerasimos and Panorea Danalis in Karavomilos Kefalonia, Greece. In 1958 he married the love of his life Argyri Stefanatos in Kefalonia. In 1974 he immigrated to the United States.
In 1974 when he came to the United States he worked along side his brother in law Peter Stefanatos at the Blue Comet. He was a very hard working passionate man that worked in the food industry all his life. After many years of working with his brother in law he went to help and be his daughter Panorea and son in laws right hand man at Penny’s Family Restaurant until he retired.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his daughter Panorea Kavallieratos and four siblings Anastasios, Dimitrios, Anthousa and Eolandi.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Argyri Danalis and their two children Angelo Danalis (Laura) and Irene Kelly (Christopher) four grandchildren Magdalini, Anastasios, Roula and Katerina and six great grand children as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the best pappou. He loved singing and telling stores from his past.
Friends and Family are invited to the viewing on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 229 Powell Lane, Upper Darby PA 19082. Funeral service to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church in Upper Darby, PA.
