Effie Mavrelos

Effie Mavrelos died peacefully on September 1, 2023.  She was a loving caring sole.  She was a hard worker dedicated to her family.  She worked side by side with her husband Tony running a bridge painting/sandblasting business while raising her two children.  As her son said, “She was the strongest, fiercest woman I knew.”

She is survived by her daughter Tina (Yiannelo) and son Stavros (Kris). Grandchildren; Dimitri, Maria, Eftihia and two great granddaughters Eirini and Metaxenia. 

Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 10am to 11am Thursday, 9-7-2023, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd, Broomall, Pa 19008.  Her funeral service will take place at 11am in the church.  Her interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Holy Protection Orthodox Monastery 1 St. Joseph’s Way, White Haven, Pa 18661.
