Obituary
Efthimia "Effie" Kerentzis of Upper Darby, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21,2023, 76 years after her birth on December 29, 1946. Effie was born in Mitilini, Greece to Elipina and Stratos Bangos. She was a devoted wife of Parashos, the loving mother of John (Stacy) and grandmother of Christian.
Effie came to America in 1969 followed by her husband Parashos in 1970, they married the same year. Effie was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law. She was dedicated to her church and faith.
We will always treasure Effie's love of family, friends, and her home in Greece. She will be sorely missed.
Her funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11am. Viewing one hour prior to service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Lane, Upper Darby, Pa 19082.
