Ernest Manaras, age 63, of Albrightsville, entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Ernie was the son of Andrew and Maria (Verras) Manaras and the older brother of Pete and the late James Manaras. He was the uncle of Zoe and Peter.
Ernie grew up in Upper Darby and attended Upper Darby High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp at the age of 16. He achieved the rank of Lance Corporal as a machine gunner, and received recognition with a Rifle Expert Badge, a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and a Good Conduct Medal.
He enjoyed being outdoors, living in the poconos and spending time with his dogs.
A service to honor Ernie’s life will be held at St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church, 35 North Malin Rd, Broomall, Pa 19008, on Friday, February 7, 2025. The visitation will take place from 10am to 11am and his funeral service will be held at 11am. He will be missed by many family and friends.
