Evans Evangelou Obituary

Evans Evangelou of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 after a valiant battle with a long illness.  Evans, age 64, was born in Germany while his father was on active duty with the United States Airforce.  The family settled in Philadelphia, where Evans lived most of his life.  He attended The University of Delaware where he played varsity soccer.  He worked in food distribution and then began working with his father in the restaurant business.  Later, Evans and his father founded a successful real estate development company. Evans will be remembered for his great love and devotion to his parents before their deaths. He was a perfectionist in his work life. He loved and was beloved by his wife, Maria and daughter Nina, the lights of his life. Optimism and a great sense of humor were qualities he exemplified and Evans loved sharing a good joke with others.  Many acquaintances never knew about his illness, despite the ups and downs he endured during that time. He remained his usual diligent and jovial self through it all.
Evans was predeceased by his parents, George and Katerina and his grandparents, Evangelos and Maria Cosma.  He is survived by the love of his life, Maria, and his beloved daughter, Katerina , who was his pride and joy.  He is also survived by his brother Dean (Deborah) and sister Maria Sosangelis (Theodore) of Australia.  Evans is also survived by his many loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
