Evelyn V. Haines

Evelyn V. Haines passed away on Saturday, March 21 with her beloved husband Evan by her side.   Evelyn was a truly wonderful person.  She was very kind to everyone.  She had an innate ability to sense when someone was feeling down.  Her caring nature would quickly kick in with attention, gifts, or just genuine caring. 

Evelyn and her husband Evan were a match made in heaven.  The two of them together only intensified their generosity.  They would often take their niece, Cecelia, up to the Poconos for many weekend getaways.   Whatever Cecelia’s age, Evelyn found the perfect gift for her, and she was always supportive of her education.  Evelyn was available for council. Whatever your problem she was able to see the right way to handle any situation.

Evelyn lived a storybook life.  From being a winning beauty contestant, even being named Mrs. Philadelphia, to restoring a 1750’s Barn into her dream home, Evelyn was truly blessed. 

Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband Evan, her sister Hellen Warren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 10am to 11am, Friday, 3-27-2026, at Vraim Funeral Home, Inc. 66 S. State Rd, Upper Darby, PA 19082.  Her interment will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
