Felicia (Feleo) Biakis Nouragas
Beloved sister, wife and mother
Felicia was born on January 24, 1930 to Joachim and Manto (Comninou) Beake in Oelwein, Iowa. She slipped away from us peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022, with her daughter Joanna and goddaughter/niece Maria Chrissos Plotts by her side.
Felicia graduated valedictorian of her Oelwein High School class in 1948, attended the Iowa State Teachers College (which she completed in 3 years), then finished her education by obtaining her Master’s Degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She went on to teach Home Economics in Springfield, Massachusetts and Yeadon High School in Yeadon, Pennsylvania.
Felicia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Zeno Nouragas (2003), and survived by her daughter, Joanna Manto Nouragas (Axel Kristensen) of Melbourne, Florida, and her two brothers, Xenophon Biakis (Stella) of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, and John Beake (Irene) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Services will be held at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Road, Broomall, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Viewing from 10-11am, funeral from 11am-12pm followed by her burial at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church
