Gay Mukalian Obituary

On April 5, 2020 we lost our Dear Mother, Gay “Kurkian” Mukalian. She passed of natural causes quietly in her sleep.

Gay was born to George and Victoria Mooradian. She lost her Father at a very young age. She was raised by one of the strongest and most beautiful woman and had a loving and wonderful Brother, George “Moorad” and Sister, Lee “Annabelle”. Later in 1951 Mom met the love of her life, William Kurkian. They married January 20, 1952 and in 1953 gave birth to their son Steven. In July 1956 their daughter Linda was born. They enjoyed a warm and loving Armenian family life. William passed suddenly May 1985 leaving her a young widow. Gay pushed on with the strength of her Faith and the support and love of her family and many close friends. Fifteen years had passed and in 2000 she was blessed with a second chance of love. On November 4, 2001 she married Richard Mukalian. Richard and Mom shared years of love and happiness until his death in 2016.

Gay is survived by her son, Steven (Doris) and daughter, Linda (Jason) brother in law, Alex Alexanian, step sons, Rick (Naomi), George, Ron (Kim) and her five Grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Funeral Services are private, due to the current situation we are all faced with. A Celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
