George Zarganakis

George Zarganakis from Morton passed away on December 28, 2018. He emigrated from Greece in 1974 after serving in the Greek military.   He was a man who enjoyed fishing , crabbing, dancing, and gathering with friends and family.  In short he enjoyed life. You could frequently find him working in his garage or garden.  He was very proud of working through all the positions in the restaurant industry eventually owning his own.   His greatest enjoyment was playing with his kids and grandchildren and also making the world’s most interesting salads.

He is survived by his wife Olga. Son: George Charles step-daughter Christina (Agapios) and step-son Michael (Athena).  Grandchildren: Paul, Anastasia, Antonia, Amelie, and Demitri.  Brothers: Stergios (Xanthi)and Lefteris (Brigitta). Niece: Xanthi. Nephews: George (Roula) and Dimitrios.

Services: Viewing:  7 to 9pm Thursday Evening at St. George Greek Orthodox church. 30 East Forge Rd. Media, Pa 19063 and 10-11am Friday Morning in church.

Funeral 11am Friday at church.

Interment: Media Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
