Helen T. Mavromatis

Helen T. Mavromatis “Tessie” passed away peacefully on July 27, 2019. She was active in the Greek Community for many years. She was a founding member of St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church. She was a long time member of the Ladies Philoptochos and volunteered on many church committees.  Inseparable from her husband George, together they worked in their businesses, retired, and traveled later in life.  Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late George.  Loving mother of Carol (the Late David) Crouse and Louise Lessing. She was a  devoted grandmother of Helen,  great grandmother of four. Great great grandmother of one. Also survived by two loving sister-in-laws and many dear nieces and nephews.   

Friends and family are welcome to attend her visitation from 10 to 11am on Friday at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd. Broomall, Pa 19008.  Her funeral service will follow at 11am in the church.  Interment; Fernwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or the Eleftheria VFW Post 6633.
