Helen Diane Xenos, 73, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by love, strength, and devotion to her family.
Born on May 15, 1951, in Lewiston, Maine, Helen spent her early years in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and later in Overbrook Park, Pennsylvania, where she was raised by her grandmother and aunt and spent her formative years.
Helen carried a spirited and independent nature throughout her life. As a young woman, she spent time in Florida, embracing a sense of adventure and freedom, and forming a lifelong connection to the water—something that always brought her peace.
She eventually returned to Pennsylvania, where she devoted herself to raising her son, Sean Kyle Xenos. Through strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love, she created a stable and nurturing home, giving of herself fully to those she cared for. She spent much of her career working in banking, from a Branch manager to a senior loan Officer where she was known for her dedication and work ethic.
Helen took great pride in her role as “Gia Gia” to her beloved grandson, Maxwell Xenos, and is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Samantha Xenos.
She had a gift for making people feel welcome, and her home became a place of comfort, laughter, and belonging for many. She found her greatest peace near the water, especially at White Crystal Beach, where she spent treasured time with family.
In her later years, Helen devoted herself to caring for her parents, Stephanie and William Lyell, offering them unwavering support and compassion.
She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her strength, and the way she gave so much of herself to the people she loved.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 11am - 11:45am, Thursday, 5-7-2026, at Vraim Funeral Home, Inc. 66 S. State Rd, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
