Ioannis Fotiadis

In Loving Memory of Ioannis Fotiadis.

Ioannis Fotiadis, affectionately known as Pappous Yiannis, peacefully passed away on October 1 at the age of 89, surrounded by his family. Ioannis was a caring father to Nick Fotiadis, a loving father-in-law to Irene Fotiadis, and a devoted husband to his late wife, Nelly Fotiadoo. He was adored as a grandfather by Yanna and Nikoletta Fotiadis and treasured as a great-grandfather to Simon, Hugo, Zoe, and Nikos. Ioannis is also survived by his beloved grandson-in-laws, Tim Ikhizgilov and Chris Tetens.

Ioannis was a man deeply dedicated to his family, and his life was a testament to the values of love, unity, and celebrating one's Greek heritage. He instilled in everyone around him the importance of staying connected to their roots and encouraged them to live life to the fullest. His warm heart and loving nature touched the lives of everyone he met.

Although Ioannis has left a void in our hearts, his legacy will forever endure through the memories and values he imparted to his family. He leaves behind a very loving extended family in Greece, who mourn the loss of a remarkable man from a thousand miles away. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

His funeral service will be 12 noon Friday October 6, 2023 at Evangelismos tisTheotokos-Annunciation 6501 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149.  Family and friends are invited to view from 11-12 in the church.  Interment in Forest Hills/Shalom Memorial Park, 25 Byberry Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
