James Thomas Sheridan of Milford, Delaware, formerly of Philadelphia and Upper Darby, passed away after a long illness on his 76th birthday, May 9th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
James (Jim, 'Pert') is survived by his wife, Marie Caldwell; sons Matthew (Kelly Brennan), and Brad; stepdaughter, Laura Pizzuto; his siblings Lynne Miles (Walter), and Theresa Sheridan; grandchildren Justin, Sylvia, Gabe, Devon, Aaron and Nora Belle; dear nieces and nephews; Jim and Marie's forever friends, Barbara and James McRath, and many other devoted friends. He is predeceased by his son Jamie, and his sister Maureen Zibelman (Gordon).
Jim grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and he was part of a large group of friends from the old neighborhood. He attended Most Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and West Catholic Boys High School. He was a Member Services Manager at Radnor Valley Country Club in Villanova for 25 years.
Jim and Marie lived for 25 years on Hazel Avenue in Upper Darby. After retiring and moving to southern Delaware in 2018, Jim loved his new life and the many friends he made in lower, slower Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jim's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE., 19963 or World Central Kitchen.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, June 14th at Vraim Funeral Home, 66 S. State Road, Upper Darby, Pa. 19082, from 10:00 A.M. until noon.
