Jean Omiridis, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on November 13, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1933 in Patras, Greece to the late Kostas and Theone Demopoulos. Jean moved to the US in the 1960s and soon married her late husband, Peter Omiridis. Together they resided in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania and had three children. Jean and Peter with their family opened and operated the well-known Homer’s Seafood Restaurant for many years in their community.
She is survived by her three children, Anastasios Omiridis (Patricia), Olga Papageorge (Demetrios), and Kostas Omiridis (Hope). She was blessed with many grandchildren; Vickie, Perry, Pete, Marissa, Niya, Pete, and Alek, as well as many great grandchildren whom she loved tremendously.
Known by most as ‘Yiayia Jean’, she will be forever missed and remembered for her strong will, loving nature, and her homecooked meals packed with warmth and love for all those who entered her home.
Friends and family are welcomed to call Tuesday November 22 at 10-11am at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church Media, 30 E. Forge Rd., Media, PA 19063. Her Funeral Service will begin promptly at 11am. Interment will follow at Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester PA.
