Joanne Bateman

Joanne Bateman (nee Lulias) passed peacefully on Wednesday January 21st, 2026, surrounded by her husband and family. Born and raised in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Joanne married her high school sweetheart, Robert. They had three beautiful children, Robert  Jr. (Carolyn), Nicole (Dave), and Anthony (Andrea). Joanne is survived by her husband and three children, along with her six grandchildren (Sarah, Alyssa, Zoe, Jessica, Zack, and Ryan).

A loving and generous woman, Joanne was loved and adored by all. Wanting to see happiness for everyone around her, Joanne’s kindness shown through with all of the charities she supported.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 10am to 12noon, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd, Media, Pa 19063.  Her funeral service will take place at 12 noon in the church.  Her interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
