John “Jack” R. DuBois, age 76 of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully with family on March 23, 2023.
Jack was born to William J. Sr. and Dolores (née Obert) DuBois, on June 10, 1946, at Misericordia Hospital in southwest Philadelphia. He went to St Andrew’s and graduated from Monsignor Bonner in 1964 when they moved to Lansdowne. He was a member of the track team in high school, received a certificate in Insurance Adjustment from St Joseph’s University, worked for General Adjustment Bureau, and then security at Crozer Hospital in Upland. Also, in his younger days, he worked for the Bulletin delivering newspapers and he enjoyed chatting it up with his clients. His hobbies included, but were not limited to reading, star gazing and astronomy, collecting coins, stamps, trains, flying model airplanes that he built and fishing with his family on the 12th Street bay side in Ocean City, NJ. He was a member of the NRA and he worked at Field & Stream in Aston when he retired. He loved to offer suggestions on how to shoot a rifle, and he was known for his sense of humor and his kindness. He loved his family and cared very much for them. He was a hard worker to ensure that they had what they needed. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Judy (née Lamon) of 55 years, his children Michelle Rosen, Stephanie (Anthony) Carver, Kristen DuBois, and Andrew DuBois, his grandchildren Jessica Rosen, Catharine, Alexander, and Abigail Carver, and his sister Dianne (James) Lennon. Among cousins, nephews, and nieces. Predeceased by his parents, and brothers Robert “Bob” and William “Bill” DuBois, Jr.
