Joseph Schmids Obituary

Joseph S. Schmids, age 73, passed away peacefully March 15, 2021. Joe was a loving husband and father as well as an avid fisherman, golfer, and musician. 

Joe worked for the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) for 38 years as an electrical lineman. Joe served in th eUSMC where he played a soprano bugle in the "Commandant's Own" Drum and Bugle Corps in Washington D.C.. He later completed with the Yankee Rebels, the Archer-Epler Musketeers, and Reilly Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps and was inducted into the Drum Corps Hall of Fames in Maryland (2019), Pennsylvania (2005) and the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame (2002).

He is survived by his wife Eileen, two sons, Joseph and Andrew, five Grandchildren, three brothers and five sisters.

Celebration of Life will take place at a future date with friends and family. Rest In Peace Joe.
