Kalliopi Kritikos, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on January 27th at the age of 94.
She was born on March 20, 1929 in the small village of Bozikas in Corinth, Greece, to Konstantinos and Panayiota Brinias. She was the oldest of four surviving siblings. Her siblings are Demetria Stefanapoulos, Vasiliki Kourebes and the late Gabrielle Brinias.
In the 50s, Kalliopi met the late, Gregory Kritikos, where they married and eventually immigrated to Northeast, Philadelphia. There, together, they had their only Daughter, Konstantina (Dina), and ran their family restaurant. Alongside her husband, she lovingly helped raise their grandchildren Xena and George Karalis, while their daughter pursued her education and career. She cherished her Greek Orthodox Faith, family, friends and home. She took pride watching her daughter and grandchildren prosper and grow. While raising her grandchildren, she loved to teach them how to knit and how to play cards. During her free time, she loved to do dot-to-dots and number finds.
Kalliopi Kritikos is survived by her daughter, Konstantina Karalis, her granddaughter, Xena Karalis, and her grandson, George Karalis. She is also survived by her sisters Demetria Stefanapoulos and Vasiliki Kourebes.
