Katherine Geaneotes (née Papaconstantinou)
It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Geaneotes (née Papaconstantinou) announces her passing on November 9, 2025, at the age of 96. Katherine was born July 1, 1929, in Philadelphia to Greek immigrant parents, Haralambos “Harry” and Vassiliki “Bessie” (née Georges) and was raised in West Philadelphia.
Katherine graduated from high school in West Philadelphia and soon began her career as a typist at the Curtis Publishing Company. She later married Paul Geaneotes, and together they settled in Havertown, Pennsylvania, where they raised their family.
Deeply devoted to her family and community, Katherine was active in the Haverford Township PTO and served as a den mother with the Boy Scouts of America, guiding both Cub Scouts and Webelos. Alongside her community involvement, she played an essential role in managing the family businesses.
Balancing her career, volunteer work, and family life, Katherine managed it all with grace and dedication—raising four boys, maintaining a busy household, and working full time. Her tireless commitment and generous spirit touched everyone around her. She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, intelligence, kindness, selflessness, and always putting the needs of others in front of her own.
Katherine is survived by her children, Russell (Lindsay Williamson), Harry, George (Jodie Buxbaum), and John (Karen née Klett); her grandchildren, Zachary (Julie Delconte), Nicholas, Paul, Jack, Alex, and Nicole; her brother John; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Paul, her parents Haralambos and Vassiliki, and her sister Dorothy (née Lykos).
Katherine’s memory will live on in the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the example she set for her family and friends.
