Konstantinos Velikaris Obituary

Konstantinos Velikaris, lovingly known as Gus, passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2024, at the age of 90 years old. He is survived by his Wife Thiona, Son Dimitrios, Daughter in Law Katina and grandchildren Angelica and Christopher. He and his family came from humble beginnings in Kozani, Greece, where he worked the family farm as a young man and later in construction. He was one of three sons, who were orphaned at a young age due to their mother's passing. His family also experienced many hardships during that period, as that was the time when Greece was involved in the war and the German invasion.  In the early 1970’s he made it a point to immigrate to the US with his Wife and Son for a better life and opportunities. He had worked many years with his Wife in the garment industry and was able to educate his Son. He was always thankful for all that the US had given him, and was extremely proud to be a Greek-American. His vision of his Son getting a good education and having a life of success and happiness with his family had been realized.

Although he is missed dearly, we are all comforted by our faith and believe he is in a much better place and is no longer suffering. May he rest in peace and may God bless him. We love him with all of our hearts.
