Leah Ann Murtha

Leah, at the tender age of 12, from Springfield, Pa passed away suddenly of acute myocarditis on June 19th, 2018.  She was the beloved daughter of Raymond J. Murtha Jr. and sassy sister of Jessica Murtha.  Leah was preceded in death by her mother Luci Lynch-Murtha in 2017.  This young lady was born on July 13, 2005 in an unplanned home birth.  It was always said that she entered this world fast and furious and her personality reflected this entrance! Leah attended E.T. Richardson Middle School.  She was an avid athlete playing many sports but her favorite was soccer, proudly choosing the number 13 which she considered lucky.  Leah is also survived by many relatives, special friends and teammates.  This is a tragic and profoundly sad loss for all that knew her and our hearts are beyond broken.  Hug your loved ones a little tighter and value all the little things that make you happy.  Her life Celebration and Interment were private.
