Leslie E. Scott

Leslie Ernest Scott, 75, of Ocean City, NJ passed away September 20, 2022. Leslie was born to Herbert and Beatrice (nee Lubin) Ernest December 25, 1946 in Philadelphia PA. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1964. Leslie married William James Scott III in 1965, and they lived together in Drexel Hill, PA. where they raised six children. She leaves as her legacy 5 children: Debra Scott, Brett Scott (Nicole), Laurie Morrissey (Michael), William Scott, and Gwen McIntyre. She also leaves her loving brother Brad Ernest. Proud Gram of Erin, Jeffrey, Kiera, Jaclyn, Mariel, Jack, Gavin, Michael, Molly, and Lannie along with 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Herbert M. Ernest (father), Beatrice L Ernest (mother), William J Scott III (husband), Ardeth N. Scott (daughter), and Louis Varallo. Leslie and her husband (Bill) established a successful family business, Scott’s Seafood, where memories were made. Walking through the doors, you were greeted with a Scott’s smile as Leslie, Bill, and the kids worked together. You could count on Leslie to always fill the air with Golden Oldies! When she lost the love of her life after 27 years of marriage, Leslie went on to be a Supervisor at the Delaware County Courthouse in Media where she was well loved and respected. Leslie retired in 2013 and moved to Ocean City, NJ. It was here that she made many new friends, and met her second love, Lou Varallo. She and Lou spent summers at the Jersey shore, and winters in Florida until his death in 2020. Leslie will be remembered for her infectious laugh and big smile. There will be a visitation Friday, September 23, 2022, 11:00 am at Vraim Funeral Home located 66 S. State Rd, Upper Darby, PA. 19082. Leslie's family will speak at 12noon in the funeral home.  Interment will be held at Westminster Cemetery located 701 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
