Lillian H. Chimekas

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Lillian Chimekas (nee Cavunis) announce her passing on March 15, 2025 at the remarkable age of 94.

Lillian was born on March 17, 1930 to Peter and Catherine Cavunis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Lillian was predeceased by her parents; siblings Patricia Bernato and James Cavunis; and husband William Chimekas.  She is survived by her sister Evelyn Dermond, her children Linda Flick (John), Karen Miller (Russell), Maria Anderson (Gary), James Chimekas (Sindi), 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Lillian lived a long, happy life filled with love and laughter.  One of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother and great grandmother. She loved being with her family.  Lillian had a knack for cooking Greek delicacies and crafting, creating handmade Christmas trees and hair bows for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will be fondly remembered by her warmth and smile.
