Lucy Boornazian

Lucy Boornazian passed away on June 10, 2023, just having made it to her 88th birthday, which she celebrated with family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Berj Michael Boornazian, as well as her mother Azniv Habeshian, and sisters, Hermione Simitian and Alice Tegrarian, with whom we imagine her now in peace. She is survived by her three children, Michael and Avedis Boornazian and Lori Boornazian Diel; three children-in-law, Sheila and Martha Boornazian and Thomas Diel; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Caroline Boornazian and McKay Diel. Further survivors are the many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends that were her extended family. Lucy was born in Argentina and came to the United States when thirteen years old. She built a strong life and family in the United States but remained a proud Armenian-Argentinian. She will be remembered and celebrated for her feisty spirit and delicious cooking through which she expressed her love and legacy.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday June 16, 2023 from 10-11am at St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 630 Clothier Lane, Wynnewood, PA 19096.  Her funeral service will begin promptly at 11am. Interment to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donation be made to AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union), https://agbu.org/honor-loved-one.
