Maria Grespos Fooskas passed away peacefully Friday April 23, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore, loving mother of Stavros (Theofily), and Nikitas and devoted and always loving grandmother of Theodore and Rousos Elias.
She lived a full life. She grew up in Greece and live through the WWII and civil war. She was one of eleven siblings which some moved to Australia and other remained in Greece.
She was a woman of faith and loved the church including the chanting and the choir. She loved to help at the festivals, decorate the eptitafios and sing in the choir. She extremely adored her grandchildren. She was loving mother. She enjoyed her friends and family more than anything. She loved to cook for family, friends and neighbors. She loved to sew and knit. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. Her passion was reflective in all those things.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 11am to 12 noon Tuesday, 4-27-21, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd Broomall, Pa 19008. Her funeral service will be at 12 noon. Masks and social distancing will be required in church. The funeral service will be livestreamed through the church website https://www.st-luke.org/. The interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
